Sacred Blacksmith DVD Uncensorship
Courtesy of AkibaBlog’s regular column, a handful of preview pictures for the upcoming release of Sacred Blacksmith on DVD/Blu-Ray have surfaced. The screencaps given flaunt the stunning quality of the show (I’m left satiating at the thought of how great it would look in proper high definition!), and also indicate something even more eye-catching: DVD uncensorship! This is, of course, the most important factor in any DVD release for any self-respecting fanboy. I’m actually really surprised that this show would get caught up in the DVD-version syndrome, where the anime is carefully censored to ensure that DVD sales do decently. Lately, this has become really predominant, added to the usual tricks of DVD-only episodes and animation fixes. The fact that Manglobe has followed the trend really suggests they’re out to make some cash. I can’t blame them, and I can’t blame prospective customers for wanting to see Cecily’s rack in full exposure. High-definition Cecily nipples. Hopefully there will be more moments in the series where this kind of thing can occur XD (maybe with Lisa or Aria too?). Nipple-free previews below:
Heh-heh!I’ve heard about this as well, but through Sankaku Complex, since thier my main infro source. But I can’t wait to see this, Manglobe has never had any real DVD extras like this before, but I’m not complaining. Can’t wait for the DVD release!
